Flares or flashes of a big fire occurred in the Sun this weekend. However, researchers say, the impact is not to affect parts of Indonesia.

Mentioned Bosscha observatory researcher Evan Irawan Akbar, the affected areas this phenomenon is the Earth's latitude regions such as Britain, the North Pole, Canada and Russia.

"Indonesia, located on the equator is not affected by this. There is also the type of disturbance experienced by the areas affected are communication and aviation noise," Evans said on Thursday (02/17/2011).

Evan mentioned, the phenomenon was a flash fire is a natural activity of the Sun and not to be feared. "Even if an interruption occurs, only lasts about three to five minutes," said Evan.

Indeed, in some cases this phenomenon is quite serious consequences. Evan pointed out, substantial disruption due to flare ever experienced by Finland in 2009, which led to failure.

"This result could arise in case of electrical induction when a flash of fire that reached the Earth. If that happened yesterday, although a large but not to harm. Still within normal limits," he explained.

Mentioned also by Evan, the occurrence of flares can not be predicted. The researchers could only monitor solar activity and estimate its intensity whether to expand or shrink
