Iman Usman (19), second-year student majoring in International Relations, University of Indonesia, finally chosen as the recipient of prestigious awards for young Indonesian bloggers, Microsoft Bloggership 2011.
This award is given each year for young bloggers who advanced and open minded, and care about education issues and the use of technology to improve the quality of human resources and community empowerment.
"Faith was chosen because we saw that he had strong leadership and good communication skills," said Adnan Risman, Senior Developer Advisor, Microsoft Indonesia Microsoft to ITGazine information age.
Iman Usman is President and Founder of the International Future Leaders, a non-profit organization for the empowerment of youth in social change. This year, Bloggership theme is 'Social Saving Your Energy and Stay Connected'. Young bloggers are challenged to use social media to contribute to society. "We want to see how much time they spend in social media, whatever they do, and what contribution they can give to the community or people of that time," added Risman Adnan.
Winner 2011 Microsoft Bloggership entitled to receive a gadget, and travel to various provinces in Indonesia with Microsoft Indonesia. Besides, he also will receive certified training from Microsoft Indonesia.
